The Drowsy Chaperone (Don Ward)
Updated: 05/20/2013 - Two weekends left to catch one great show!
All lanes are reopen on Platte west of Powers after a four-vehicle crash at Platte and Space Center shut down eastbound Platte.
According to police, around 7 a.m. a vehicle hit a patch of ice on the road and spun out of control, causing a domino effect with the other three cars. There were no serious injuries to anyone involved, though one person was transported as a precautionary measure.
Police will likely cite one or more drivers with driving too fast for the conditions.
Now that the scene is cleared, sanding trucks will be sent to the area to take care of Platte west of Powers, where officials say the road conditions are icy and ripe for more crashes.
