After a gun was fired at him from close range, a Springs man is lucky to have escaped without serious injuries.
According to police, the victim was walking home from a store late Thursday night when three men attacked him. One hit him with what officers describe as a "blunt object," then another shot in his direction from just a few feet away. The bullet missed the victim.
Police say the victim's injuries only required a few hours of hospitalization.
At this time, no suspect information has been made available other than that the three men were wearing hoodies. The incident occurred at 11 p.m. on the 3700 block of El Morro, near Chelton and Academy. If you have any information on this incident, you are asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
