Police say a suspect snuck up behind an employee closing shop Wednesday night, hit him over the head and then stole his wallet.

The robbery happened at 9:59 p.m. at the Weber Wright Moving on 250 S. Academy in Colorado Springs.

The suspect took off, but Springs police say he didn't elude officers for long. As they neared the business, police spotted a man matching the description the victim provided, walking in the area of Airport and South Academy. He allegedly tried running from police when officers approached him, but was caught after a short chase. Police say once they caught up to the suspect, he was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Amata Marshall. He faces charges of aggravated robbery.

The victim was able to get his wallet back.
