A suspected hit-and-run driver was arrested Thursday night after a police chase through icy roads in northwestern Colorado Springs.

Police were forced to terminate the pursuit after a short time due to the road conditions west of the interstate, but were able to get the suspect's license plate. After running the plate numbers, officers went to the suspect's house and arrested the suspect on felony eluding charges, as well as multiple other traffic offenses.

The suspect is accused of taking off after a crash in the area of I-25 and Rockrimmon shortly before 11 p.m., then refusing to stop when police tried to pull him over. Police have not released any details about the severity of the crash, or the suspect's name.
