A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
A homeless man accused in a stabbing at a Springs church will be in court Monday.
Police say the victim was found in the basement of the Remnant Church on Cheyenne Road on August 12. The pastor told 11 News that the victim got in some sort of argument with suspect William Thomas, 42, which led to the stabbing. The victim underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries.
The pastor allows homeless people to sleep in the church's basement. It's unknown what provoked the argument.
