A homeless man accused in a stabbing at a Springs church will be in court Monday.

Police say the victim was found in the basement of the Remnant Church on Cheyenne Road on August 12. The pastor told 11 News that the victim got in some sort of argument with suspect William Thomas, 42, which led to the stabbing. The victim underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries.

The pastor allows homeless people to sleep in the church's basement. It's unknown what provoked the argument.
