Snow will continue to wind down from northwest to southeast tonight, and should be mainly out of the state by Saturday morning. Heaviest snow overnight will favor areas to the south and southwest of Pueblo. Mountain locations will likely see over a foot. Watch out for icy roads, and take it slow if you have to travel.
A man suspected of being under the influence of drugs reportedly started throwing his belongings off a third flood balcony.
Police say when they arrived at the scene on the 4400 block of Pikes Peak Ave. in Colorado Springs, Christopher Micheal Bennet lunged at one of the officers, grabbed his chest and pushed him backwards. The officer was not hurt.
Bennet was allegedly destroying the contents of his apartment. Police say he flipped over a dishwasher and threw a vacuum and other items off a third flood balcony.
Police say Bennet hurt himself in the process, but they did not say how serious is injuries were.
The incident happened at 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
Bennet is charged with second degree assault on a police officer.
