11 News has been in contact with firefighters working a house fire in Black Forest overnight.
We're told the flames are mostly out, but fire crews are keeping an eye on hot spots.
The fire started around 10pm in the 4200 block of Walker Rd. in Black Forest, east of Highway 83 and north of Hodgen Road.
The fire started in the garage and then spread to the house. That's where firefighters were able to get the flames under control. No word how much damage was done to the home. But firefighters expect to get a better look once the sun comes up.
At this point, there's no word on what caused the fire. But 11 News has learned there may have been some extra complications for firefighters in the form of ammunition in the garage, where the fire started. We heard about that from neighbors who described hearing explosions, as firefighters fought the flames.
Several agencies helped in fighting the fire. They also rescued two dogs from the home. No word on the extent of the dogs' injuries.
11 News will continue to update the latest information on this fire.
