Tuesday's winter storm created chaos on many roads throughout the state, as drivers caught off-guard found themselves struggling to navigate suddenly treacherous conditions.

Several stranded drivers wound up spending the night at the Ellicott Fire station after conditions proved too dangerous to continue. Firefighters had been out all night rescuing stranded drivers off of Highway 94.

As of 5 a.m. Wednesday, Highway 94 remains closed from the El Paso County line to Punkin Center.
