Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. A woman from Aurora died in Park County Saturday after a motorcycle crash along Highway 9.
According to State Patrol, who are investigating the crash, the accident happened about 30 miles northwest of Canon City.
Reports indicate that the drier, Diana Ewert, 60, of Aurora, was traveling northbound on Colorado 9 near milepost 20 in her 2005 Yamaha V-Star when she failed to negotiate a curve. Ewert went off the right hand side of the road while negotiating a left-hand curve.
The motorcycle reportedly rolled and ejected Ewert, She was wearing a helmet and eye protection at the time of the crash.
Police say alcohol, drugs and speed were not a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
