State Lawmakers Still Have Work To Do Before Session Ends

Our state lawmakers have a lot of work to do before the 2013 session ends.

Wednesday, they're expected to finish working on bills to tax and regulate recreational marijuana. Tuesday, the state senate passed a marijuana blood limit for drivers. It also gave preliminary approval to a 25 percent tax on recreational marijuana sales - with the final decision going to voters.

Many are also reflecting on some of the bills that were passed earlier in the session-- including the strictest gun laws in our state's history, the passage of same-sex civil unions and decreased tuition for illegal immigrants at colleges in Colorado.
