After a four-year investigation, police say they have solved a murder case.

Cordero Collins is accused of running over and killing Tyrone Lyles in a bar parking lot in Colorado Springs.

It happened in March of 2010. Witnesses told police a fight started inside the Union Station bar, and quickly moved outside. The scene descended into chaos as shots were fired and several cars sped off.

"It was a very large and erratic scene when our officers first arrived," Lt. David Whitlock with CSPD told 11 News at the time.

Union Station's entertainment director told 11 News that he heard a girl yelling and then saw the victim in the parking lot.

Collins was already in jail on unrelated charges when police arrested him Monday. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
