Springs police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot Tuesday night at an apartment complex.

It happened at 10:00 p.m. at the Pine Creek Apartments, which are on South Academy near Airport and Fountain Blvd.

When officers first responded to the call, they didn’t find a victim at the scene. A short time later, a man showed up at Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound, and he told authorities he was shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Police say found several shell casings in the area.

Officers tell 11 News, the victim isn’t cooperating with them and that is making it difficult to get more details about what lead to the shooting. There is no description of the shooter.

The victim has serious but non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
