Snow is expected to develop for our Monday afternoon and overnight hours. Bands of heavier snow are possible..and something we will be monitoring throughout the day today. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Watch for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. Parts of southern Colorado saw hail Thursday afternoon, wreaking havoc on traffic along I-25 north of Colorado Springs.
11 News viewers reported hail in areas around Briargate and Pine Creek.
In Lincoln County, a tornado touched down about five miles south of Hugo. The area is southeast of Limon.
The sheriff's office says the tornado was a weak "rope tornado" and touched down in a field. It was on the ground for approximately two minutes. No injuries or damage were reported.
