Skier Killed In Avalanche In Southern Colorado

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center says a backcountry skier has been killed in a snow slide near Conejos Peak in southern Colorado.

The center says the death occurred Tuesday. The avalanche struck at about 11,700 feet above sea level.

No other information was immediately available.

The center says it was the seventh person killed by an avalanche in Colorado this season.
