Shutdown Hits Air Force Academy Hard

More than 1,000 civilians will be furloughed at the United States Air Force Academy, due to the federal government shutdown.

Twenty percent of scheduled classes are suspended. Cadet study centers are closed including the library, media lab and tutor centers.

All flying operations at the 306th Flying Training Group are cancelled.

Also, all intercollegiate athletics are canceled including the Air Force/Navy game that is scheduled for Saturday.
