Two people were rushed to the hospital after a shooting at a Springs apartment complex early Friday morning.
Shots were reported around 5 a.m. as a party was breaking up inside the Reserve Apartments on the 2000 block of Carmel Drive, near the intersection with Monterey. When police got to the scene, they found a 47-year-old man and 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds. One was seriously injured, though police would not identify which victim.
Police say the suspect fled the apartment unit before they got there. Officers only have a vague description of the suspect at this time: he is described as a heavyset black male. It's unclear what the relationship between suspect and victims is.
