Often shots-fired calls lead to dead ends for responding officers, but that wasn't the case Monday.
Police say they immediately found the person responsible.
According to officers, a 26-year-old man was cleaning his gun when it went off early Monday morning. A stray bullet may have hit his neighbor's home.
When police arrived, the man was allegedly intoxicated, leading to his immediate arrest due to it being illegal to be intoxicated with a firearm. He is now being held on a prohibited use of weapon charge.
The incident occurred on Cordelle Lane, near Stetson Hills and Marksheffel on the east side of the Springs.
