A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office has arrested the primary suspect in an attempted murder that happened in June.
A 20-year-old man was shot and left lying outside in a mobile home park on Red Creek Springs Road, south of Highway 96 and near the Pueblo Reservoir.
Pueblo County deputies said the victim was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition at last report.
Detectives announced a $500,000 nationwide warrant for 28-year-old Cesar Arias, who was named a suspect in the shooting. He was arrested Saturday afternoon on the east side of Pueblo. He was taken into custody without incident.
