Today the El Paso County Sheriff's Office is evaluating their response to the Waldo Canyon Fire.
A report released just a few hours ago highlights El Paso County's strengths during the emergency as well as some of the challenges they faced.
El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa laid out the findings in their after action report earlier today.
He says evacuations were strong and the delegation of authority was well executed during the fire.
However he says communication between agencies was one of their weaknesses.
The department also unveiled a new wildfire evacuation plan that residents can view here.
