Sharp Eyes Of Officers Help Nab Burglary Suspect

A man with a lengthy criminal history is back behind bars.

Officers Steve Worley and Scott Carnes pulled over a man resembling a suspicious-looking individual seen driving on the 1400 block of Alexander Road, near Palmer Park Boulevard. Police were told that the man had been knocking on the door of a home after the owner left. Police say the homeowner soon returned and confronted the man after catching him in the backyard.

Police found the white truck that the man had been seen driving in, but could find no sign of the suspect.

Worley and Carnes waited in the area until the suspect returned to the vehicle, and then pulled him over as he drove off. The man, identified as Richard Flewwellin, was discovered having an outstanding warrant for burglary, as well as long list of prior arrests. Flewwellin was also found in possession of illegal drugs.

Flewwellin was booked in the CJC.
