Driver Pinned After Truck Fishtails And Crashes On Circle

Two people were hospitalized after a truck and its trailer fishtailed and rolled. One of the victims is in critical condition.

Police say the truck was pulling a trailer full of asphalt when it flipped while traveling southbound on Circle near Monterey in Colorado Springs.

The driver was pinned under the truck, while the passenger was pinned inside. The driver sustained serious injuries, including head injuries, and is in critical condition. The passenger is in fair condition.

A light pole was also knocked down in the crash.

The southbound lanes of Circle were closed between Monterey and Hancock for a couple of hours as crews worked to repair the pole and clean up the scene.
