He's been missing for more than two months, but Dylan Redwine's family isn't giving up hope.
Dylan turns 14 next week, and 11 News has learned his family still plans to celebrate, with birthday-themed rallies in Monument and Bayfield, Colo., both places that Dylan has lived at different points in his life. Dylan moved to Monument from Bayfield, which is in southwestern Colorado in La Plata County, with his mother and brother four months prior to his disappearance.
The Monument rally will be held at Limbach Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6. 11 News is told that supporters will first gather to pray, then will light flashlights and eat birthday cake in Dylan's honor. Dylan's mother, Elaine Redwine, is expected to attend the Monument rally.
" First and foremost we love and miss him. We are never giving up. We are going to do whatever it takes to find you and bring you home," Redwine said.
Dylan vanished Nov. 19 while visiting his father in Vallecito, a town about 13 miles north of Bayfield, 30 miles from Durango. His father, Mark Redwine, has told investigators that Dylan was still asleep when he left that morning to run errands, but was gone when he returned to the house four hours later.
A reward for information leading to his whereabouts now stands at $50,400.
