Two people have been transported back to Pueblo after State Patrol pulled over a vehicle believed to be associated with a drive-by shooting.
The vehicle, a Gold Chevy Impala, was pulled over on I-25 at mile marker 120 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo at 11:52 a.m., less than 40 minutes after the reported drive-by on E. 9th St. in Pueblo The drive-by shooting occurred at 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers say a driver noticed the vehicle and thought it looked suspicious, prompting the person to call law enforcement.
State Patrol says there were two occupants in the vehicle, and that troopers detained them until Pueblo police arrived on scene to take them into custody. No information about the individuals has been provided at this time.
Pueblo police tell us the people in the vehicle are currently considered "persons of interest" in the drive-by. No additional information about the drive-by itself has been released, including whether anyone was injured.
