Neighbors mobbed a man in a Pueblo neighborhood Sunday, believing he was involved in several sexual crimes against children.

One of the victims had told her mother that she thought she spotted the man who had harmed her, prompting her neighbors to take action. The group, who live on the east side of town, said they were furious that police hadn't warned residents about the sexual crimes occurring in their area, and took matters into their own hands.

Those crimes include a sexual assault and two cases of indecent exposure.

After cornering the man they believed was the suspect, about a half dozen people held him until police arrived. Police questioned the man, but say at this time they are not linking the man to any of the crimes. Police say that they also do not have reason to believe the cases are connected.

The man did provide a voluntary DNA sample, which police will test against samples they obtained from the other sex-related crimes in the area.
