The Pueblo Parks Division, in an attempt to help during times of drought, announced today that they will voluntarily reduce their water usage.

The park staff will reduce watering by 30 to 40 percent versus past years. Parks will be watered less frequently, but for a longer period of time which should encourage deeper root growth.

The Parks Division does want to let the public know that parks may not be as green this year.

The Pioneer Cemetery and the Mountain View Cemetery have agreed to join forces with the Parks Division in an effort to reduce the amount of water they use in 2013.
