The Pueblo City Council has walked back on their decision to replace prayer with a moment of silence at City Council meetings.

The original decision had been made after someone in Pueblo complained about the opening prayer to the Freedom From Religion Foundation, who then sent the Council a note asking them to remove the prayer.

But the prayer was restored upon realization that the Council's own rules and bylines call for an invocation, so a majority vote would be needed to remove it. The Council says it will search for ways to make the invocation more inclusive.
