Police Arrest One Man in Connection With Shooting

Deputies say they have arrested one man in connection with a shooting early this morning.

The Sheriff’s office says Dennis Pratt is facing charges of manslaughter after he reportedly shot someone trespassing on his property.

It happened on Hog Farm Road, southwest of Pueblo at about 10 p.m. last night. The shooting took place on private property, near a landfill.

Deputies say two men entered Pratt’s property and he fired one shot, killing one of the men. The other man got away. Deputies say Pratt is the one who called police.

Authorities are not releasing any information about the victim, other than that it is a man in his 20’s from Pueblo.

Deputies say Pratt has been complaining about people stealing from his property.
