If you live in parts of Cascade, Manitou Springs, Pleasant Valley, Old Colorado City or Mountain Shadow you may be asked to participate in a survey this weekend.
The surveys will be conducted door-to-door by the El Paso County Public Health Department in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and other local health departments on Friday and Saturday.
Public Health is asking residents to help by participating in the survey. The survey takes about 15 minutes and a total of 200 randomly selected households will be surveyed.
Usually these surveys are done immediately after a disaster, but in this case El Paso County is being pro-active by conducting surveys before the event of a possible flood in the area.
Survey teams will be clearly identified by blue shirts with CASPER logos and will be wearing identification badges. Residents in targeted neighborhoods may be visited between the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
You may decline to participate in the survey, or to answer specific questions if you choose.
Results of the survey will be available at www.elpasocountyhealth.org in May.
