Power has been restored to 1,800 customers of Mountain View Electric near Black Forest.

The outage began at 6 p.m. Monday and power was restored to nearly all customers by 7:30 p.m. It took a little longer to get everyone back on line.

The utility says there was a distribution breaker malfunction, and they re-routed power to get the electricity back on.

Mountain View Electric says the problem was at a substation at Black Forest and Hodgen Roads.

The power was not restored until almost 8:30. My stepdad called us at about 6 and said the power was out... we were on our way back from Denver. Was still out when we got home, and came back on at around 8:30. We are near Hodgen and Bar X.
