Potter Drive Open, Lockdown Lifted At Mitchell High School

Police activity on Potter Drive this afternoon in Colorado Springs caused the closure of the road and forced Mitchell High School onto lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Police tell us that they were at a home on Potter Drive to serve a search warrant. After hearing there may be weapons in the home, they used a flash-bang to force entry.

All of the occupants of the home were detained and police are currently searching the home.

The road re-opened around 4 p.m. this afternoon and the school was subsequently taken off of lockdown.
