Arrests Made in Shots Fired Overnight

Police say they have arrested two people in connection with shots fired call that happened last night.

It all started when someone in the neighborhood called police to report two people looking into windows. Officers spotted the suspects and started chasing them. That's when one of those suspects opened fire.

Police say that William Dandrea was arrested for attempted murder and a warrant for a parole violation, and Ryan Medlock was arrested on an arrest warrant.

St. Vrain was closed from Nevada Ave. to Weber Street until 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night while investigators examined the scene.

11 News spoke with one neighbor who could not go home until police cleared the area and collected all the evidence that they needed.

"It's incredibly scary because you know this is my neighborhood and I love downtown but the thing is I guess it brings the whole 'It can happen anywhere', and I don't like it," said Lonn Duke.

Police say they found out that the two had permission to be at the home, which is why no burglary charges were filed.
