A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Police say a possible drunk driver is responsible for hitting several cars in Colorado Springs.
It started when police say the driver ran a red light while driving south on Chelton at Platte. He hit multiple cars and signs and kept driving.
He was eventually stopped and arrested. Police have not released his name.
