A woman has allegedly fallen victim to a guest she brought into her home.
The 78-year-old victim alerted police Saturday after she discovered her debit card was missing, and then realized suspicious purchases had been made from her account.
Once officers narrowed down the location the purchase had been made--a convenience store on Maizeland--police used surveillance video to identify the suspect. The suspect was revealed to be a man who had recently stayed with the victim.
Police say suspect Essie Garner Jr. admitted to taking the card out of the purse without the victim's permission. He has been arrested on charges of identity theft.
