Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
Officers will patrol popular shopping areas as students leave school for winter break, the Pueblo Police Department announced Wednesday.
According to a news release, the officers will mostly consist of school resource officers. Police say those officers act as a deterrent to shoplifting, fights and general disorderly conduct complaints.
Officers will patrol the area of the Pueblo Mall until students go back to school on January 7, 2013.
They will also be driving around in the surrounding business areas to help deter any thefts from autos that are elevated during the holiday season, according to the news release from Pueblo PD.
The Pueblo Mall has provided an area inside their security office for officers to use during the winter break patrols.
