Police: Small Apartment Fire Likely Arson

A small fire broke out at a southwest side apartment Monday morning after police say someone threw fire accelerant at a door.

Residents at the Navajo Apartments near South Nevada and Brookside in Colorado Springs quickly put the flames out with a fire extinguisher. No one was injured, and there was only minor damage to the door.

At this time, there is no further information about this incident. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
