Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing Springs man.

Michael Portwood, 27, reportedly suffers from a traumatic brain injury, and walked away from his care facility Monday night. Police say he could be trying to get back to Georgia, where he's originally from.

Portwood is described as a 5-foot-10 white male, weighing about 155 pounds with a blond buzz cut. He has a bird tattoo on his left cheek, a deck of cards on the back of one of his hands, and some unlisted tattoos on his neck. He was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of Fountain in Colorado Springs, where his care facility is located, wearing jeans and a Broncos t-shirt.

If you have any information about Portwood's whereabouts, you are asked to call Springs police at 444-7000.
