Police are searching for a man they say raped a 12-year-old girl and got her pregnant.
Henry Haughton is wanted on a charge of sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
According to court papers obtained by 11 News, Haughton knows the alleged victim in the case.
Court papers show the alleged abuse started in April of 2012. The young girl didn't tell anyone what was going on.
Her mom became suspicious when the girl started showing signs of morning sickness. That's when she found out her 12-year-old daughter was pregnant.
The young girl told her mom that Haughton had forced her to have sex with him.
According to court papers, Haughton told the girl that if she ever became pregnant she should lie and say the father was a boy from her school.
Court papers also show that the girl's mom confronted Haughton about the alleged abuse. He reportedly told her the victim made him do it, and that it would never happen again.
Haughton is from Jamaica, and the alleged victim's family believes he might try to return there to avoid charges. Police believe Haughton has his immigration paperwork and his passport.
11 News has learned this is an extraditable offense, so if he is found in Jamaica he'll be arrested.
