Hit-And-Run Victim Dies One Week After Crash

The victim in a hit-and-run crash in Pueblo died from his injuries early Monday morning.

The accident happened January 27 at the intersection of W. 29th St. and Country Club Dr. in Pueblo. Police say the victim was crossing the street when a pickup truck hit him and never stopped. The victim was identified as Earl Mullenex, Jr., 35.

Police describe the vehicle as a 1988-1999 Chevrolet full-size extra-cab truck. The truck is maroon with a two foot wide silver or light colored stripe on the sides. There could be a toolbox in the bed of the truck. The word “Chevrolet” is prominent on the tailgate. There could be damage to the driver-side and windshield.
