Police say they were forced to tase a domestic violence suspect who was resisting arrest.
Officers were called to the Fillmore Crossing Apartments on Sinton Road in Colorado Springs just before 1 a.m. Wednesday on reports of a disturbance. Police say they found an injured woman, who told officers her injury had come at the hands of her husband.
According to officers, the victim's husband repeatedly refused to leave his home. He finally opened his door, but allegedly refused to come out. The situation deteriorated into a struggle between the suspect and police. Officers finally used a TASER to subdue the suspect in order to arrest him.
Suspect Brandon Baumgartner, 30, was taken to jail on misdemeanor domestic violence charges and on charges of obstructing police.
