Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. Police are looking for two men suspected of robbing a woman in the parking lot of a Kmart.
The robbery happened at about 7:30 Friday evening outside the Kmart at 3900 West Northern Avenue.
Police say one of the men pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her purse. The victim handed over her purse and both suspects ran to an apartment complex parking lot on Vinewood.
Witnesses chased the suspects until they got into the backseat of a black Hyundai Elantra (or similar vehicle) with tinted windows and partial license plate numbers 086 and drove away from the area.
Both suspects can be seen in a surveillance photo taken in the store before the robbery. The man in the gray shirt reportedly had several tattoos, including a tattoo under his right eye.
