A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Police have arrested the man accused of shooting and killing a man on Jan. 26.
Pueblo police detectives learned the suspect had gotten into a confrontation with his mother's boyfriend. That fight led to the shooting. Robert Gonzales, Jr., 38, was found dead on the 1300 block of E. 9th St. Sunday.
Neighbors say paramedics performed CPR on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Wednesday detectives went to a house in the 3300 block of Hollybrook in Pueblo where they arrested Corey Martinez, 24. Martinez is being charged with first degree murder.
