Police say a man tried to rob a business and was shot by the employee. It happened Sunday just before 8:30 p.m. on the 2900 block of North Prospect near Fillmore and I-25.
The employee reportedly told police that the man was armed when he walked into the business.
Our crew was there when the suspect was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. At the time, he was up walking around, but police haven't released his condition.
Detectives have been called in to investigate. We're told the suspect and the employee could both face charges. Right now, investigators are trying to determine if the suspect was armed or not.
