A FLASH FLOOD WATCH remains in effect for all of southern Colorado throughout our evening and overnight on Tuesday. Storms will continue to be an issue, capable of producing heavy rain with very slow movement. Storms look to mainly favor north and east of areas like Colorado Springs and the Waldo Canyon area, but storms cannot be ruled out still in this area. The 11 Breaking Weather team will be monitoring conditions closely. This Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through 6pm Wednesday, where another day of thunderstorms is possible. Police officers in one city are getting some new hi-tech upgrades.
Soon - they will be wearing cameras as part of their uniform.
The police chief in Delta, Colorado says the cameras will benefit law enforcement and the community.
He says the cameras will help gather evidence when officers respond to things like domestic violence calls or DUIs.
It will also help keep officers accountable because they will have a camera on them at all times.
Delta city council recently approved an $8,000 stipend for the police department to buy new wearable cameras.
Police officials say they plan to purchase them in the next two weeks.
