A police dog helped nab two suspects who authorities say were riding in a stolen car.

The suspects, both juvenile males, allegedly ran and hid after the driver crashed the stolen vehicle in the Academy and Maizeland area just before 7 p.m. Friday. Witnesses saw the four occupants run from the scene and told police.

Officers say they found a girl a short time later, and determined that she had been a passenger in the wrecked car. Authorities then set up a perimeter, and brought K-9 Max to the scene to find the other three suspects.

K-9 Max and his handler Officer Donovan soon found the two boys hiding nearby. The driver, also a juvenile male, has still not been located. The three who have been caught all face charges, though police have not specified what those charges are.

Police say the vehicle was stolen from the Denver area.
