"My name is Risto, someone made me do this."
With that, Pueblo police say the armed suspect walked out of the Super 8 Motel, carrying stolen cash.
Police are now looking for the suspect, who officers say was caught on surveillance camera during the Jan. 19 robbery.
The crime happened at 7:04 p.m. at the motel on the 1100 block of Highway 50 West. Police say the suspect walked in through the north door and straight up to the counter, then pointed a handgun at the clerk. He demanded cash from the register and the clerk complied.
Getting he what he wanted, police say he walked out. As he headed out the door, that's when police say he remarked that he had been put up to committing the crime.
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with a small amount of facial hair. He was wearing a baseball cap with a black hoodie pulled over it.
He was last seen walking towards the west of the hotel.
