Authorities are searching for the suspect in an alleged assault.

Colorado Springs police say the crime happened in the morning hours of December 15 on Fosdick Drive near Galley and Murray.

Officers tell us a man was working on his vehicle in his driveway when two suspects pulled up in a truck and attacked him. The victim, Shawn Burke, tells us he used a screwdriver to defend himself. He says he stabbed one of the suspects.

After Burke stabbed one of the suspects, they both scattered and ran. Police caught up with one of the suspects, Ryan Carter, and arrested him for assault.

Carter was treated for non-life threatening injures at a local hospital, before being transported to jail.

Police are still searching for the second suspect. If you have any information, call Colorado Springs police right away.

Police did not release a description of the second suspect.
