Colorado Springs police are investigating an accident that sent one person to the hospital early Saturday morning.
According to police, a person was crossing Cimarron Street at 8th Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. when a car traveling eastbound struck the pedestrian.
The victim's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, but he was taken to the hospital for a full evaluation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this accident.
