Springs Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.

It happened Sunday night near S. Nevada and I-25. The northbound exit ramp from I-25 onto Nevada was closed for several hours. All lanes are back open Monday morning.

Police say a 29 year old woman was hit by a vehicle while walking diagonally across Nevada. The driver was headed north on Nevada when the woman was hit. Police say they most likely won’t ticket the driver because the woman was not in the cross walk and the driver had the right of way.

Police are working to notify the victim’s family and her name will not be released until they do so.
