A Colorado Springs couple arrested after police say they stole from a Springs grocery store.
Brant Murphy and Melanie Dean were both charged with felony charges for aggravated robbery and menacing on Thursday, May 2.
The Colorado Springs Police Department says they dispatched officers to the Safeway store on South Murray Boulevard to investigate a theft. When they arrived, officers report they saw the two suspects walking behind a business just south of Subway.
The CSPD investigation shows that a man and a woman took several DVDs from the Safeway, threatened to cut a security guard and took off on foot.
Police say they recovered all the merchandise and that the man did not have an actual knife, but an object reflecting the shape of a knife.
