The El paso County Clerk and Recorder's office has released the official results of the recall election of Senator John Morse.
50.89% (9131 votes) were in favor of the recall. 296 of those votes were by mail-in ballot.
49.11% (8812 votes) were cast against the recall. 536 came in by mail.
Votes for who should replace Morse were heavily in favor of Republican Bernie Herpin. He received 8932 votes equaling 97.53% of the vote. Libertarian write-in candidate Jan Brooks received 226 votes.
